The symposium will feature an introduction to a reading program proven to help disadvantaged students read to grade level, as well as data and stories on recent implementations in Virginia school systems and a panel discussion with time for Q&A.
 
Speakers at the event will include:
 
- Dr. Chris Jones, Director of Special Education at Longwood University, who has implemented Reading Mastery in school districts across the country
- Mr. Bryan Jackson, Principal of Buckingham County Elementary School, in its first year of Reading Mastery school-wide
- Ms. Kelly Belcher, veteran classroom teacher and Lead Consultant at Ronnis Systems Inc., a Virginia-based consulting group that is currently supporting Reading Mastery implementations in Buckingham and Culpeper Counties
